about us
A Brief History
The club was formed in 1947 as an ex-Servicemen's club. We are very proud to consider it as one of the most family friendly and welcoming clubs in the local area and is situated in Lower Street, just opposite the St Giles Church and war memorial close to the junction with Dunkirk Avenue. The building dates back to the early 19th century and was formally titled Desborough House and home to a number of wealthy families before the end of the second world war.
Members are allowed to bring along signed-in guests up to 3 times a year before the guest is expected to apply for membership.
Live Entertainments
Nobody for miles around does a garden party like Desborough Services...... we regularly host large events in our large, beautiful family-safe garden as well as live entertainment acts inside the club on most weekends.
We try to accommodate a variety of musical interests ranging from solo singers covering yesteryear hits through to modern day tribute bands.

Beer Garden
We know that a great many people love our beer garden, we even know that some of our members refer to it as their favourite garden on earth! it is without doubt one of the largest around. With socially distanced tables a plenty and seating available under cover in case of bad weather, our garden is truly an amazing place to unwind.
Live Sports
At the Services we screen live sporting events such as the World Cup
look out for the beer and food promotions during sporting events!
Event Days
One of our biggest assets is our ability to put on large events. We are very fortunate to have the grounds that we do and an Events Team that is dedicated to making the big days as successful as possible. We regularly host large garden parties, charity days and other fundraising events.
Team Sports
We participate in the local darts, pool and skittles leagues. We are always on the look out for new players and for further teams to represent us
Traditional Draws
Every week on a Sunday we have the traditional members draws such as the Chocolate and Meaty draws along with the weekly Tote. These are always extremely popular

We pride ourselves on providing our members with a selection of top-quality real ales
